RATES

No one likes talking about money less than us. Thats why we have this page! With straightforward annual rates and a simple one percent retainer policy, we have a solution that fits your need. Please note, these rates only reflect the labor cost of collaboration. Together, we will work to establish operating and travel budgets to meet your needs.

RETAINER $1250

Not every project takes four months. Sometimes all it takes is a couple weeks. Our one percent retainer (includes a $50 convenience fee) provides an accessible entry point for low-intensity or short-term collaborations. This serves as an entry point for cooperation.

1.0 FTE $130,000

The equivalent of one employee for one year. Administrative packages are tailored to meet the specific needs of each program. Minimum labor charge of $30,000 (0.23 FTE.)

  • 1.0FTE = Forty-eight (48) weeks at forty (40) hours.

As our client base, and subsequently, our client needs grow, so grows our team. Increased emphasis on system efficiencies, workforce development programs, and client collaboration create efficiencies in shared management costs.

*If new or existing clients work in collaboration, each collaborative client receives a labor-rate discount of up to 10%! (does not apply to retainer only projects)

Estimates

There are so many factors that go into estimating program budgets; space, equipment, permitting. Not to mention all the mission-specific specialty tools and products that need to be fabricated or purchased. For back of the envelope calculations, we make a few assumptions. In the interest of transparency, here they are.

1. Full time operating costs hover around 40% It sucks but it’s true. The cost of doing business can be staggering for smaller programs. Forget about mission specific expenses. We pass the economies of scale on to our clients. As our costs go down, everyone’s cost go down. Because it doesn’t help us if it doesn’t help everyone.

2. Frugal travel is still expensive Work travel is tricky. No one wants to overspend, but no one should have to sit in ORD for six hours to save a hundred bucks. A safe estimate is $1500-$1800 per trip for travel expense alone. Sponsorships, exhibition fees, promos, all add their own cost.

3. People matter People around you matter. Working with people whom you enjoy is a great experience. That’s why we incentivize partnership and collaboration. If new or existing clients work in collaboration, each collaborative client receives a labor-rate discount of up to 10%! Ten percent maximum “partner refund” per client. Refund does not apply to retainer only projects.
